How is this legal?
The 2018 Farm Bill legalized hemp and its cannabinoids nationwide, but each state has its own laws regulating hemp, cannabis, and marijuana. This bill drew a clear line between hemp and marijuana based on Delta-9 THC levels: if the concentration is below 0.3% on a dry weight basis, it's hemp; above that, it's marijuana. To be classified as a hemp-derived product, it must pass a two-part test: Delta-9 THC levels must be below 0.3% and the cannabinoids must be proven to come from hemp. At Sherpa, we grow our own hemp at Pioneer Farms, the first licensed hemp farm in the state of Texas. We then oversee every part of the production and manufacturing from creation to packaging ensuring our products remain well below the 0.3% Delta 9 threshold and are both safe and potent.
